The Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) is an organization of approximately 2,000 personnel of which 700 serve at HQ and the remaining staff serve at offices worldwide. NCIS is the DON component with primary responsibility for criminal investigation, law enforcement (LE), counter-terrorism (CT), counterintelligence (CI), and cyber matters. NCIS not only has primary responsibility for all criminal investigative, CI, CT, and cyber matters within the DON, but it also has exclusive investigative jurisdiction in non-combat matters involving actual, potential, or suspected criminal, terrorism, sabotage, espionage, and subversive activities.
MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
As a Business Requirements Analyst the work you'll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of the IT Technology Operations division within the NCIS ITD organization and performs the following responsibilities/functions:
Interfaces with product owners and users of applications to understand business needs and desired changes for new or existing production systems
Defines, collects, analyzes, and organizes business requirements and communicates the same information to members of the software development team, including but not limited to Software Developers, Software Testers, Business Systems Analysts, Information Assurance Engineers, and Content Administrators
Draft system reference documents and technical guides
Ensure that assigned deliverable are completed on time
Generates recommendations in the form of technical briefings, reports, and other major documents provided to senior level client personnel
Collaborates with the team to ensure application changes meet business needs
Demonstrates application changes to product owners as they are delivered so that additional changes or modifications are recognized early in the development process
Conducts peer reviews to solicit feedback on materials created.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
Bring your development expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. Our Business Requirements Analyst must have:
Security Clearance Level: Active Top Secret clearance; Must be SCI eligible.
Required Experience:
3+ years of experience writing requirements documents (e.g., Requirements Specifications, Requirements Traceability Matrices, Functional Specifications, and Test Requirements documents)
Skilled in the use of MS Office tools (i.e., Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Visio)
Ability to analyze and effectively communicate technical details about complex business processes through documentation.
Education: BS/BA Degree.
Location: Hybrid - 3 days onsite at Quantico VA; 2 days remote.
US Citizenship required

The likely salary range for this position is $93,662 - $108,100. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
